Ibrahim had built his fortune through decades of hard work, honest dealing, and clever investments, becoming one of the most respected merchants in the region.
Ibrahim had three sons: Khalil, the eldest, who was ambitious but impatient; Marwan, the middle son, who was intelligent but prone to laziness; and young Rashid, who was hardworking but lacked confidence in his abilities. As Ibrahim aged, he worried about what would become of his wealth and his business after his death, particularly since his sons seemed more interested in spending money than in earning it.
